Two visitors stand near an ornate octagonal ablution fountain (midan) topped with a ribbed dome and crescent finial, set within the open stone courtyard of a Mamluk-era mosque on Al-Muizz Street (Sharia Al-Muizz), Cairo. The surrounding arcade features pointed arches, decorative stone carvings, and Arabic inscriptions typical of Islamic architecture in the historic district of Old Cairo. The black and white treatment emphasizes the geometric stonework and monumental scale of the structure.
