A group of young male students wearing white skullcaps (Taqiyya) and blue traditional uniforms sit attentively at wooden desks inside an Al-Azhar religious school classroom in Qena, Upper Egypt. Al-Azhar schools are part of Egypt's oldest and most respected Islamic educational institution, providing both religious and academic curricula to students across the country. The classroom features simple green-painted walls and natural window lighting, typical of public religious school settings in rural Upper Egypt.
