Three young male students wearing traditional white Azhari caps (Taqiyya) sit side by side at a wooden desk inside a classroom at an Al-Azhar affiliated school in Qena, Upper Egypt. Al-Azhar schools form part of Egypt's oldest and most prestigious Islamic educational institution, blending religious and academic curricula from primary level. The boys wear traditional Islamic student dress, reflecting the centuries-old educational tradition of Al-Azhar, founded in Cairo in 970 AD.
