Four young male students from an Al-Azhar religious school sit together in a classroom in Qena, Upper Egypt, wearing the institution's traditional uniform: blue robes and distinctive red-and-white caps (Taqiyah). Al-Azhar schools (المدارس الأزهرية) are part of Egypt's oldest and most prestigious Islamic educational system, offering both religious and academic curricula to students across the country. This image documents everyday school life within Egypt's Islamic educational tradition, particularly in Upper Egypt where Al-Azhar institutions have deep community roots.
