Eight young male students from an Al-Azhar religious school stand together in an outdoor school corridor in Qena, Upper Egypt. The boys wear traditional white Islamic caps (Taqiyya) and long galabiyyas in various colors, reflecting the dress code of Al-Azhar affiliated institutions. Al-Azhar schools are part of Egypt's oldest and most prominent Islamic educational network, founded in Cairo in 970 AD, with branches across the country including Upper Egypt governorates such as Qena.
