A male teacher wearing a black galabiya (jilbab) and red-and-white Azhari cap stands at the front of a classroom engaging with young male students seated at wooden desks. The students are dressed in traditional Azhari uniforms — light-colored galabiyas and matching red-and-white caps — characteristic of Al-Azhar religious education schools across Egypt. Al-Azhar schools form one of the oldest and most widespread Islamic education networks in the world, providing religious and academic curricula to millions of students from primary through secondary levels. This scene was captured in Qena, a governorate in Upper Egypt known for its strong religious education traditions.
