A man in formal attire walks alongside a vintage Alexandria tram at Raml Station (Mahatet El-Raml), one of the city's most iconic transit hubs. The Alexandria tram, established in 1863, is one of the oldest tramway systems in Africa and the Middle East, and remains a functioning part of the city's public transport network. Arabic text is visible on the tram body, and overhead electric cables frame the urban street scene in this Mediterranean city.
