A low stone pier with the remains of a small masonry structure extends into the calm Red Sea at Quseir (Al-Qusayr), Egypt. The still shallow water between the pier and the shore creates a near-perfect mirror reflection of the stonework against the blue sea and clear horizon. Quseir is one of Egypt's oldest Red Sea port cities, with a history dating back to ancient Egyptian, Roman, and Islamic trade routes along the Red Sea coast.
