Children and young people gather at an open football field along the banks of the Nile in Qena, where the game serves as more than recreation—it becomes a meeting place for the community. Families, friends, and neighbors come together to play, watch, and socialize, turning the pitch into a shared public space that strengthens local relationships and a sense of belonging. The scene reflects the important role that informal football grounds play across Egypt, where simple community fields become centers of daily life, friendship, and opportunity for future generations.
