Two craftsmen work on wooden furniture pieces inside a shaded open-air workshop on Taht El-Rab' Street, Cairo. A fabric sheet (amelaya) is stretched overhead to shield the workers from direct sunlight, a common practice in informal street workshops across old Cairo. The scene captures traditional manual woodworking trades that continue to operate in the narrow workshop streets of historic Cairo neighborhoods.
