Large quantities of harvested dates are spread across burlap sacks and mats on bare soil to dry in the open air, flanked by tall walls of stacked dry palm fronds used for sorting and storage, with palm trees visible in the background. The scene documents the post-harvest processing stage of the annual date season in Dahshur, a farming area in Giza Governorate, where date cultivation is a primary source of income for local farming families. Dates are sorted, dried, and prepared for market sale following the traditional harvest cycle repeated across generations.
