Interior view of a historic hall inside the National Military Museum (Al-Mataf Al-Harbi Al-Qawmi) at the Citadel of Salah al-Din (Qalat Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi), Cairo, featuring a large painted mural of a mihrab (prayer niche) and colonnade framed within an ornate arched recess. The surrounding walls and ceiling are covered in elaborate decorative frescoes and arabesque motifs typical of Mamluk and Ottoman-influenced Egyptian palace architecture. Through the doorways on both sides, adjoining museum exhibition halls are visible, including display cases and artifacts.
