Seven boys sit side by side on stone steps outside an old residential building in Cairo, laughing and raising their hands toward the camera. The scene captures everyday childhood street life in a Cairo neighborhood near Sahra El Mamalik (Desert of the Mamluks), adjacent to the Mosque of Faraj ibn Barquq. The weathered stone walls and traditional urban setting reflect the character of historic Cairo's residential streets.
