An elderly Egyptian man works as a Makwagi (traditional street ironer) inside his small shop in the Kom El Dikka neighborhood of Alexandria, Egypt. He stands behind an ironing board with a steam iron, wearing a striped sweater, with garments hanging in the background and Arabic signage visible on the shop window. The Makwagi is a familiar figure in Egyptian urban street life, offering affordable ironing services in local neighborhoods.
