A stage performance of 'El-Leila El-Kebeera' (The Great Night), one of Egypt's most celebrated classic theatrical productions originally created by Sayed Darwish and Badi' Khayri, here presented in puppet show format on an elaborately decorated stage at the Cairo Opera House (Dar Al-Opera Al-Masriya). The colorful set design depicts a traditional Egyptian street scene with ornate Islamic architectural details, figures in period costume, and a richly patterned proscenium arch. An audience is visible in the foreground capturing the performance on their phones.
