A group of Egyptian fishermen operate on Lake Manzala (Buhayrat al-Manzala), hauling and managing large fishing nets from traditional wooden motorboats. An Egyptian flag is visible on one of the vessels, and reed beds line the distant shoreline backed by low-rise brick residential buildings. Lake Manzala is one of Egypt's largest coastal lagoons, located in the Nile Delta between Damietta and Port Said, and has historically supported generations of fishing communities who depend on it as their primary source of livelihood.
