A group of female performers wearing elaborate green and gold tiered gowns in a flamenco or folk dance style perform outdoors at night on Al-Sharifen Street near Muthallath Al-Bursa (Stock Exchange Triangle) in Wust El-Balad (Downtown Cairo). A crowd of onlookers gathers along the lit street, suggesting a cultural event or public arts festival. The location, Sharia Al-Sharifen, sits within Cairo's historic downtown district, an area developed during the late 19th century Khedival urban expansion and known for its European-influenced architecture.
