Two workers sort and separate freshly harvested date palm clusters (Balah) into large red plastic crates outdoors on grass, with the golden fruit stems still attached. The dates appear at the Khalal stage — golden-yellow to light orange in color — indicating an early to mid-harvest phase typical of Egyptian date palm cultivation. Date farming is a centuries-old agricultural tradition in Egypt, with the country ranking among the world's top date producers.
