A tall octagonal water tower rises above the tree canopy within the Montazah Palace grounds in Alexandria, Egypt. The tower features Moorish-style pointed arched openings, an ornate open balcony tier with decorative balusters, and a terracotta hip roof, reflecting the eclectic Florentine-Ottoman architectural style characteristic of the Montazah royal estate. Montazah Palace was built by Khedive Abbas II in the early 20th century and served as a royal summer residence for the Egyptian royal family until 1952.
