A horse-drawn karoo (Karou) carriage moves along a wide urban street in the Bahri district of Alexandria, Egypt, passing in front of a large multi-story building flanked by palm trees. The karoo is a traditional form of horse-drawn transport still in use on Alexandria's streets, representing one of the city's enduring heritage transport traditions. The scene captures the contrast between Alexandria's modern urban infrastructure and its continued use of traditional street transport along the Mediterranean coastline.
