Ground-level view inside the Ramesseum, the mortuary temple of Ramesses II (r. 1279–1213 BC), located on the West Bank of Luxor (ancient Thebes). The frame shows colossal Osiride statues, massive fallen sandstone blocks, and standing Osirid pillars against the backdrop of the Theban Hills. The Ramesseum is one of the best-preserved New Kingdom mortuary temples and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site component within the Theban Necropolis.
