The modern lighthouse at Lisan Ras El Bar stands at the precise point where the Nile River meets the Mediterranean Sea in Damietta, Egypt. The structure features a granite tower topped with a gold dome lantern room, surrounded by a viewing balcony, with visitors visible on the open plaza below. Ras El Bar is one of Egypt's most distinctive coastal landmarks, known for the rare natural phenomenon of a river delta meeting the open sea.
