Full-length marble statue of a Roman emperor or senior military commander, possibly Marcus Aurelius, wearing an elaborately carved lorica musculata (muscled cuirass) decorated with a central Gorgon (Medusa) head motif — a common symbol of divine protection in Roman imperial iconography. The figure stands in a commanding pose with a paludamentum (military cloak) draped over one arm, and a captive figure or trophy element at his feet. The statue is displayed under dramatic lighting against a deep purple backdrop at the Greco-Roman Museum (Al-Mathaf al-Yunaني al-Romani) in Alexandria, Egypt, one of the most significant collections of Hellenistic and Roman antiquities in the Mediterranean world.
