A weathered stone jetty or breakwater extends from the rocky shoreline into the clear shallow waters of the Red Sea at Al-Qusayr, a historic port city on Egypt's Red Sea coast. Two rectangular concrete or stone block supports remain standing at the end of the structure, showing significant erosion and age. Al-Qusayr served as a major commercial and pilgrimage port in ancient and medieval times, and remnants of its maritime infrastructure reflect centuries of trade and sea activity along this coastline.
