Performers in traditional Egyptian folk costumes present a Tanoura (التنورة) dance show at the Al-Ghouri Complex (Wikala Al-Ghouri) in the Al-Ghouriya district near Al-Azhar, Islamic Cairo. The stage is illuminated by warm amber stage lighting against the backdrop of the complex's historic Mamluk stone walls. The Tanoura is a traditional Egyptian folk performance related to Sufi spiritual traditions, featuring spinning dancers in layered colorful skirts alongside musicians and accompanying performers.
