Egyptian Thanaweya Amma (third-year secondary) students pour into the street outside their school in Manshiyat Al-Tahrir, Cairo, celebrating the completion of their final exams. Crowds of students, families, and bystanders fill the street as a man plays a mizmar (traditional Egyptian wind instrument) and others clap and cheer. The Thanaweya Amma is Egypt's national high school final exam, one of the most significant academic milestones in Egyptian students' lives, making its completion a widely celebrated public event.
