This photograph captures the Unknown Soldier Memorial in Alexandria following a rainfall, with wet streets creating reflections across the square. The monument, framed by its classical architectural elements, stands as a tribute to the sacrifices of Egyptian soldiers and a symbol of national remembrance. In the background, the familiar yellow-and-black Alexandria taxis and the movement of daily life provide a vivid contrast to the stillness of the memorial. The rain-soaked pavement adds texture and atmosphere to the scene, highlighting the coexistence of history, memory, and contemporary urban life in one of Egypt's most historic coastal cities.
