A complete traditional Egyptian folk music and Inshad (Islamic devotional chanting) ensemble performs on stage at the Al-Ghouri Wikala Creativity Center (Wikalet Al-Ghouri), Al-Azhar Street, Al-Hussein District, Cairo. The six performers are dressed in traditional white and light-colored gallabiya robes with white caps, standing before an ornate historic stone wall featuring carved Mashrabeya (traditional wooden lattice) panels and wall-mounted lanterns characteristic of Mamluk-era architecture. The ensemble includes a lead munshid at center microphone, a rababa (traditional two-stringed spike fiddle) player, a mizmار (Egyptian double-reed woodwind) player, and multiple percussionists holding duff (frame drums) and hand drums, representing a preserved form of Egyptian intangible cultural heritage.
