Two elderly Nubian men stand together outside a traditional building in Aswan, Upper Egypt. The seated man wears a grey galabiya (jilbāb) with a white shawl, while the standing man is dressed in a full white galabiya and white turban (imma), characteristic of Nubian and Upper Egyptian traditional male dress. The sandy ground and green-roofed veranda behind them reflect the architectural character of riverside Nubian communities along the Nile in Aswan.
