A worker cuts logs using a chainsaw at a charcoal production site in Bilbeis, Sharqia Governorate, Egypt. Wood chips and sawdust fly through the air as the timber is prepared before being loaded into charcoal kilns. This manual wood-cutting stage is a key step in the traditional charcoal production process, a labor-intensive trade that provides livelihoods for workers and families in the Bilbeis area.
