This image captures a second variation of workers constructing a temporary wooden framework for a traditional pigeon tower, locally known as a Burg Hamam, in Cairo, Egypt. Seen in silhouette against the sky, the workers are positioned on the upper level of the structure, manually fixing timber beams that support the tower during construction. The exposed framework illustrates the informal yet precise building methods used in vernacular Egyptian architecture. Once the permanent structure is completed, the wooden frame is removed, leaving behind the functional pigeon tower adapted to dense urban rooftops.
